Choosing the right therapist for you is an important factor in the success of treatment.

Many outcome studies have shown that getting the right "fit" between therapist and patient is an important factor in ensuring the success of treatment. I would also suggest that it is important to seek help from someone who is clinically experienced, and who has undertaken rigorous training.

I hold the following professional and academic qualifications:

  • Clinical Qualification in Psychoanalysis with Adults (British Psychoanalytic Association)
  • Clinical Qualification in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with Adults (British Psychotherapy Foundation)
  • Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (WPF Therapy)
  • MA (with distinction) in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice (Roehampton University)
  • Diploma in Psychoanalytic Supervision (Guild of Psychotherapists)

In addition to my formal training, I undertook more than a decade of personal psychoanalysis, and therefore know first-hand what it is like to be in long-term intensive therapy as a patient.

I am registered with, or a member of, the following professional bodies:

  • British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)
  • International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA)
  • International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP)
  • British Association for Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervision (BAPPS)

For many years I have been involved in the training and supervision of psychotherapists and counsellors. I am also an approved training therapist for various psychodynamic and psychoanalytic trainings in London.
